    Bailout 2008, a poem by David Jeffrey

    Like a bloodied warrior,
    laying broken and torn.

    Like a dying soldier, hopeless and forlorn.

    But the blood, it be green,
    the color of money.

    And the soldier is an economy,
    and it is anything but funny.

    Broken are it’s people and shattered are their dreams.

    Thanks to the ultra rich and their full proof schemes.

    It is a tragedy with more pain to come.

    Finance will be Hell, and their wills will be done.

    this poem is great to describe our green hemmohagic state
    no one can even guess the dollars it will take
    to strengthen our economy now or will it keep needing more?
    every pundit has an opinion, how to fix it for sure
    only the future will tell us if we should have kept making all these governmental loans,
    meanwhile we're emptying our pockets to pay for upside down homes
    maybe if we could really end this misdirected wars imprisoning citizens of the middle east,
    to get them to honor their neighbors and stop fighting at least
    and if we here at home could stop judging each other on the color of our skin,
    if we put aside prejudice, and help each other in need, we would all win
